A poem for my love...missing her tonight

Sometimes the waves come in and swallow my heart whole
Only to subside again until they come crashing in again
My heart aches for you
and while the memories never fade and our love never ends
what I would give for just one more day holding you tight
but then I'd never be able to let you go
the waves come in unexpectedly and
my heart aches again
