Akira Update - What, that's not Akira

Akira Update: What, that's not Akira :) But it is her new pack mate, Spruce, a 5 year old Chihuahua!

Today the stars aligned, intuition struck, and we went to the animal rescue where Roy found himself a new BFF!

While logically at first when we pondered whether it was the right time we thought "no way." But both of us had separately been receiving subtle signs that pointed to it being time.

He had lost his beloved Java (doggie) in February and then with all we've been going through with Akira and his cat Sheba (who has terminal cancer) he had firmly said "no more animals - ever." Ha ha, the cosmic joke is on him. He's hooked!

Now Akira has a new pack mate which will also help turn a new chapter in the house instead of the focus being on her as she had said "being treated like an invalid." Her spirits have been steadily rising the past few weeks as she has been hanging out with her pet sitter, going to doggie daycare (our vets for the day), walking with her tripawd buddy, and going to water rehab.

When she's just sitting at home in the very place where there was so much suffering she gets anxiety. Change your geography (location), change your focus, change your energy, and change your life!
