Being nostalgic in the moment. This is Akira at 8 weeks old. The picture with the bandanna is the day I took her home from the breeder. It was the 4th of July and the breeder had a party for all the new pet owners taking their Shiba Inus home.

She just had her 13th birthday last Saturday and at this phase of her life is becoming the wise sage she was always meant to become. Some days she has aches and pains from her arthritis settling in and finding ways to support her as the cherished elder in the house. She is truly a beautiful soul and soul mate! ♥ ♥ ♥ her!
