Tough night with Akira

Tough night with Akira. It just breaks my heart every time I hear her yelping in pain. First weekend after surgery with multiple days at home without pain patch change. Opted to give her a sedative to help her stay calm and limit pain build up.

The challenge is finding the balance between giving her drugs when she seems in pain and knowing when the drugs themselves are causing the yelping.

30 minutes into the sedation she got up to stand but had no leg control and collapsed to the ground in a very awkward position unable to stand.

I'm in a deep spiritual and emotional inquiry around suffering and pain these days....
