Today was a good today! We feel like we are on a roller coaster with "good" days and then the next seems like two steps back, but she is progressing and at a new phase.
Realized we cut back on the lidocaine patch too quickly,...
Akira Update: Weaning her off lidocaine patch and she's feeling some pain so helping her relax and stay calm.

Akira Update: We are focused on helping to reduce her anxiety caused by drugs, chronic stress, and primarily the fear and lack of confidence in moving around in her new tripawd body.
We have some very hopeful things happening to support her. She's been in "doggie daycare" - fancy way of saying...
Do I see a smile on her face while sleeping?! It's been SO long since I've seen her smile.....♥

Today was a good day! It truly is the small things in life that matter.....
Seeing Akira calmer and doing "dog" things (i.e. walking, sniffing, laying on the grass, and yes even eating.....) brings such joy to my heart.
I used to measure "good" by achievement, success, and money.....what I realized...
